Unfortunately, there are still taxidermists locally who are thinking more about profit than quality. I have seen the work of those who still make their forms by hand, out of wood strips and stuffing. That's just what the finished product looks like. The eyes tend to be seated on the front of the face instead of the sides and the basic shape of the head is poor at best, as compared to the realistic forms that I use.
