Note - If you can't take your hide to E. Bucci Taxidermy immediately, wash off any blood on the hide or feathers with cold water, put it in a freezer bag or black plastic garbage bag double wrapped and then freeze.
Please call before skinning large life size game such as Black Bear.
Small mammals - Animals coyote sized or smaller should not be skinned unless by E. Bucci Taxidermy. Don't even gut the animal. Put it in a freezer or black plastic garbage bag and freeze whole until arrangements can be made to transport the animal.
Birds - Do not gut the bird. Rinse off any blood on the feathers with water. Take care not to damage the feathers, including the tail. Place bird in a freezer bag or black plastic garbage bag double wrapped and then freeze. If the tail |
feathers do not fit in the bag, DO NOT BEND THEM TO FIT. Let them hang out until angements can be made to transport the animal.
Fish - For fish using the original skin - Do not gut your fish. If you can not take your fish to E. Bucci Taxidermy immediately, wrap it in a very wet towel and put it in a plastic bag making sure that all the fins are flat against the fish's body to prevent breakage and freeze it.
For a replicated mount, Simply take clear photo's of the fish from various angles and email them to daboochdabooch@yahoo.com with length, circumference and weight measurements.
